I live in the Colorado foothills with my husband Gary and our tuxedo cat Max (who adopted us). My journey to living a chemical free lifestyle started when I developed Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer.  As is common with cancer, it can surface after a traumatic event in your life. In 2011 we lost our beloved 19 year old daughter Allison in a tragic car accident.  Within 3 months I was diagnosed with cancer.

I had been a registered nurse for 38 years & working in a high pressure position. I knew that environment was not going to help bring the healing I needed.  Chemotherapy and radiation treatments were hard on me.  I just knew in my spirit there had to be better answers for restoring my body. 

I started my own healing journey, reading all I could about herbs and the healing effects they could have.  That led me to begin reading labels on everything I put in or on my body.  It was unbelievable how many chemicals I found in my everyday environment:  soaps, lotions, shaving cream, toothpaste, hair products, laundry detergents, dryer sheets, cleaning products, air fresheners, candles….and the list goes on and on. I knew if I was going to get well, I had to make changes wherever I could.

In addition to my self study about using herbs and plants as medicine and for wellness-I've completed courses at the Herbal Academy in Botanical Skincare, Herbal Aphrodisia and Business Herbal Training.

With an amazing husband at my side building garden after garden for me to grow my own organic food and herbs, I found several new passions.  I’ve always loved to keep a pretty home full of plants & flowers.  My garden is my happy place, along with foraging for herbs and plants to bring back to my kitchen where my passion for cooking has been so enriched.

I started making my own herbal products when my favorite natural eye make up remover was discontinued.  Now the rest is history!! I hope you enjoy the products I have created in small batches with the love and care that I believe will bless your wellness journey too.
